of longing

swallowed hard
what gorgon
that was just a bad hair day

demon star my third eye
blinking hissing
would you take me again
as monster
eyes ready to feast
she woke elsewhere
paradox at her heart
beauty and horror
sea serpent stone
in motion like vipers
no longer easy
more than some fake bird
swooped stole violated
a body no longer mine
medicine and poison
reclaimed
stone mountain
no greedy god will reckon
