is made with a poetic love, like breaking
lines in my poem I chop into pieces
the Roma tomatoes and the English
cucumber with the yellow onions, all raw
adding also some boiled dried Indian
chickpeas with un-fried sunflower
seed, sprinkling generously the lime
juice and a little spoon of salt to taste
and black pepper powder and green
chillies cut into shavings to enhance
the hotness, blending the content with life
giving chives, oregano, basil and eastern
curry leaf imported into west and chilled
together at six degrees Celsius for an overnight
all with further love, finally, sprinkled with dried
fish chips, if my American son in law, is not at the table
