Did you know

roots would run through

into deep dark crevices

of land?

of heart?

run across

breaking boundaries

of land?

of heart?

Did you know

branches would spread

bear burdens, tears?

grant hope?

Leaves caressed by dry winds

would sing lullabies

chant ancient suttas?

Did you know

amidst blood red splattered white sand

amidst vulgarity of myth, mythology

spewed by speakers so loud

amidst coins, notes, splashes of gold

You would still stand

devoid of greed, hatred, ignorance

as I have always seen you

will always see you

All knowing
