Skeleton Smiles

July 25, 2022

Unstoppable were her wings
And each morning she woke up to fly
Like a coo-coo, she could sing
And aloud she would neigh

She jumps, she dances
And she loves to fly
She delights it so when she glances,
Down the Earth from the Sky

There comes a disaster
Which turns her life upside down
Cause it holds her forever
On her brow, glares the frown

Her wings broken
And may not be repaired
Her voice so shaken
Even a tune cannot be dared

She leaves all her favourites for a life
And the world can see the joy she bid
But for a new life, there the strife
Beneath her skeleton smiles, a brighter heart so much hid

She calls it “A new Door”
She names it “A Game”
She knows the pain from the Core
But the fire inside her burns quite the Same.
