Sealed Forever

On the bed of snow
I bled happiness
peering at my kin,
swallowed by sorrow.
The valley illumined
in goblets of red;
the vista transformed
into humdrum high.
Elated, heaved…
my pulse of hope
declined steadily —
eternity blossomed.
