Sand and the Waves

July 25, 2025

sand dug up
to fashion a structure
A home that she dreamt of
A home that she thought she had
the waves washed it away

the lone dog looks
the black and pink
Belt around her neck

the waves keep lashing
A broken piece of wood
Sunk in the sand
