Since the beginning of human creativity, artists have created influential art using the line as a principle means of visual expression. As lines flow across the paper, curved and straight, dark and light, they generating powerful images.

Sometimes line art seems as if it is done in hurry, but it manages to express the infinite emotions of the artist.

Rajan is a self-taught artist, who is passionate about music and literature. 

After spending about 35 years in Chennai, now settled in Thrissur, Kerala. 

He uses pen and ink on paper to create these incredible illustrations.
Rajan has worked as a designer for Kalki for 18 years Kalki is a famous Tamil magazine published from Chennai, India. The magazine was established by Kalki Krishnamurthy, a popular Tamil novelist and Indian freedom fighter, in 1941. The magazine is known for its publication of historic novels such as Ponniyin Selvan and Sivagamiyin Sabadham.

‘You are at once both the quiet and the confusion of my heart’ says Franz Kafka, and Rajan thinks this saying resonates with his persona.
