Black Pots

July 25, 2025

Earthen world – clayey, resistant,
With compact top and substantive basis,
Inside black pots.

Farmhands exchange seeds,
Now pooled in an inventory,
Based on tribal subsistence farming,
Inside black pots.

Go Dutch with knowledge, diversity, security,
Debar killing, monoculture, hybrids,
In effect veritiable unsoiled sap varieties present,
Inside black pots.

Mystical sustainability lasting,
Weather extended and drought digested,
From where agronomy draws breath,
The land of living,
Inside black pots.

Marginalised denizens fertilise,
Garner with neatness,
In solidarity of craving, a balance put up,
Inside black pots.

Farmers look up at rotary,
Inside black pots,
Downpour by way of locked up digits,
Amend wholesome ovules, once again,
In an awakening of food satyagraha.
