Soummya Prakash

Soummya Prakash is an ICSSR Fellow at TISS, Mumbai, whose doctoral research study focuses on land and identity issues among the Paniya indigenous people of the South Indian state of Kerala. Born into a Malayali family but raised in Mumbai, she describes her life as a fusion of different cultures and food habits. Inspired by ‘Resilience’ demonstrated by ordinary people in their everyday life and believing in the slow philosophy of life, she seeks refuge in expressing through writing, gardening and photography.
