Savindri Perera is a qualified Neuroscientist working in the field of higher education with a long love affair with the food of her island home Sri Lanka. She has dedicated every minute of her free time to cooking, experimenting with and developing recipes for her catering business and is a staunch intersectional feminist. Her interests largely look at the globalisation of food in juxtaposition to ethnic identity and she is committed to elevating the position of Sri Lankan food on the global arena.
