Fairytale of Darkness

January 15, 2018

Wide-opened arms of the poem
embrace the solitary flame,
dancing alone in this dark.
while the book kept aside
a girl of half nightingale and
devil of another
descends
Through creviced shells of poetry.
“What more do you know about the dark?”
She asked
“Darkness is another half of light,
blanket for naked lovers,
long face of babies,
the pleasure of poets,
greater ocean of me, the self,
The joy of floating too.” I replied.
She asked afresh
“What do you do in dark?”
“I swim
as a fish of words within
the Ocean I form with
drops of darkness quenched my thirst.
Yes, I swim through my own ocean.” I said.
Melted salty words
sprinkled entirely,
turned her into a large-eyed baby fish.
I then traversed the ocean
as two fishes of my very words.
