A baby when she wants
As evil when she haunts
Sometimes Jolly, sometimes Bossy
She is the one and only Artsy-Topsy
At times as wild as a hungry Raccoon
Very soon as mild as the silent Moon
Her nails are clean, but her hair so Fuzzy
After all, she is none other than Artsy-Topsy
Circular is her mood swing
Tears or laughter, anything she can create and bring
They think her colors are messy
But she is a normal ‘Artsy-Topsy’
It was too dark all at once. And I said, “Let there be light”, and there was light. I said, “Let the valleys have daffodils”, and so did they bloom (in my own world).
Yes, I’m PMSing! And it is not certain what my body and mind say.
However, it is believed that there is not enough awareness. In many cultures, discussing PMS(Pre-menstrual Syndrome) with family and friends is still taboo.
Epidemiological studies have revealed that about 80% to 90% of women experience PMS. And Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) could be one of the best medicines. CBT refers to negative patterns being challenged and turned into happy ones. And the medicine lies right in you, when your friend, family, or colleague is PMSing. A cheer, a pat, or just talking about it, is all it takes.
She might be filled with colors, which is how God created her. Pre-Menstrual Syndrome is not a shame, it is beauty.
Or maybe instead of calling it a syndrome shall we call it art and embrace it? And let us hope to normalize PMS and consider them who are PMSing.
