Mummy’s Boy

July 25, 2018

He shouted: Middle of night – is it time to wake up?
I screamed: why can’t you check by yourself?
I don’t want my sleep to be disturbed
I wish my mum was here to tell the time.

He complained of no more money
I asked about his last week salary?
I finished it in the casino, he said with a smile
Wish my mum was here to give money

He screamed; it’s too spicy
I said you told you love this dish!
Yes, but I have severe gastritis
I wish my mum was here to add sugar

He was ready for a dinner dance
I asked; can you take me with you?
Sorry, I be dancing with my girlfriends
I wish to live with my mum to enjoy life

He asked me to iron his shirt.
I replied I am no domestic worker
My dad demands it from my mum
I wish to have my mum as a domestic worker

He made a plan to build a new house
I asked, how did you get the money?
He replied you can pawn your jewellery
I wish my mum had only me, so I could have everything

He shouted I lost the match because of you
I asked how am I responsible for your loss?
My dad blames my mum for everything
I wish my mum was here, to take all blame
